CALM DOWN

Everyone in Eumenides just needs to take a deep breath and let it out!! An eye for and eye makes the whole world blind. Orestes should not have killed his mother but to then make him pay for her murder just makes for a never ending cycle of so called "justice". The Furies have some weird idea of justice and Apollo and Athena are too biased towards Orestes. They all just need to practice inhale and exhale exercises and remove themselves from the situation and let Orestes have his house back. Why can't they deal with this problem when he dies (whether in battle or from old age), instead of now? Either way he will one day have to face the gods and answer for his earthly crimes. Let him attempt to bring piece back to the house of Atreus and leave it there.

I commented on Travis Carr's and Natalie Schuler's

  1. Agreed! That entire family and friend group needs to chill. And they also need to realize that revenge is not and never will be the answer. It only causes more dissension. I suppose the law of entropy could apply to such situations.

  2. I definitely agree. To continue the cycle of revenge would never lead to a final justice. At the same time, at the trial, it is clear there is a bias towards Orestes. While I think the final resolution was good, the process of getting there had more than one flaw.
