After reading Oedipus and Aristole it is clear to see that language and dance are so similar. During Oedipus and the seeker Teiresias's intellectual argument reminds me of an Argentine tango as they go back and forth the passion in their words growing. The words so carefully picked and placed that it irks one another as Teiresias withholds information. During the scences with Jocasta , it is a waltz, as without her Oedipus cannot feel secure in confiding in anyone else. Their love and bond is like one fluid movement and is not rushed in their language and conversations. Lastly, Oedipus and Creon conversations can be catergorized as the quickstep In some scenes they discuss quickly in less than two lines each time giving the reader less and less time to even pause. It shows how they are so insync that there are no need for lengthy talks just simple phrases that are to the point. It is as Aristole says that art " imitate and represent various objects through the medium of color and form, or again by the voice."
