I love how Aristotle was able to recognize and describe the beauty and intricacy that goes into poetry. In my opinion, poetry (and any form of writing, truly) is a piece of art and he accurately described it as such. He differentiated between "normal" writers and poets through their form of creativity in writing. The language, rhythm, rhyme (sometimes but not always), the direction of speaking, and the like are all small pieces put together to harmonize and compliment the full piece.
Poetry is beautiful and often carries deep meaning and life lessons in relatable and unique ways.
That was just my opinion on "Poetics"- what are yours?
P.s.- I commented on Nathanael Carroll's post and Andrew McIlwain's post
