In reading the Libation Bearers, it was interesting to see the consequences of actions in years past. Clymenestra's murder of her husband may have seemed like a good idea at the time to her- something she could get over with and never have to worry about again. The thoughts that seem to have never crossed her mind was the guilt that would unfailingly build in her heart for causing the death of her beloved, and the fact that she had children who had loved their father dearly. Though it was many years later, the story still accurately showed that no matter the action there will be a consequence. Time may pass. Things may be forgotten. But for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction, as we see in the death of Clymenestra and Aigisthos.
PS- I commented on Briana Batdorf's and Travis Carr's post.
