It really struck out to me on how Aristotle was trying to obtain something that I personally don't think he has the right to as a mortal. It's kind of like how a pet wants food from an upper shelf, but they can't reach it. We, as humans, have a need to reach forward to this universal truth and understanding, but we can never obtain it due to the easily disposable of our bodies, one could say only the soul can obtain the truth.
I commented on Sierra's and Daniel's posts.
A more in depth analysis of the text would show the flaws in your post. In what way is Aristotle reaching for that which mortals cannot obtain?
