Goodness>Happiness

I find it very interesting that Aristotle ended up on the highest good being happiness. As I was reading and following his logic, I kept coming to a different conclusion - really, just the simple fact that life isn't always happy. To say that the highest form of good is happiness, is to discredit all the unhappy events, circumstances and situations that are painful, un-fun, challenging, and even boring, and mark them as big, fat, NO GOOD. I disagree with this logic. I think that situations as mentioned above can a lot of times be even more aligned with the Ultimate Good than the happy moments. The hard times prove to be means to a greater and well-done end.

PS I commented on Brax and Jessica's!

  1. I agree. He also said that one can be happy through those bad things thought because they always see the good in circumstances.
